Jose Benavidez Jr. 17 year old Freddie Roach trained sensation SIGNED (silver sharpie) Everlast glove.
Jose Benavidez, Jr. made his pro debut in January, 2010 at the age of just 17 years old. With an amateur record of 120-5, Junior (as he's known to his friends and family) is working hard toward being a world champion one day.
Aged just 16, he became the youngest person to win a Golden Gloves title (2009). Now he has eschewed the potential of becoming a 2012 Olympian in London, at 10st. 1lb. (light welterweight) to drop to the lightweights at 135lbs and embark on a professional career under the guidance of Freddie Roach.
If Benavidez succeeds in the manner that several sages expect him to, the young American could go on to be a sensation in the sport of boxing. He has already had both Golden Boy Promotions and Bob Arum going head to head to seek his signature.
