Johnny Rosner fought in the first international flyweight championship match against Jimmy Wilde of Great Britain. Rosner was of Hebrew heritage. Charley Rose ranked Rosner (in 1968) as the 6th greatest All-Time Flyweight. Rosner rarely fought above 108-109 pounds and almost always gave up considerable weight in his bouts even when fighting other flyweights.
