Career Highlights
Born in Brooklyn, Redman fought exclusively in the New York Metropolitan area during his professional career. His career lasted a number of years and he was quite successful, but Redman never fought any of the top boxers of the era. Nevertheless, he won more fights than he lost and his knockout victims included Harry Ginsburg in September 1941 at Madison Square Garden (a fifth-round knockout). Redman had previously fought at the famed Garden against Frankie Barnwell in January 1938 (a four-round victory), Marty Marino in June 1939 (a six-round win), and Stanley Hasrato in November 1939 (a six-round draw).
