Randall W split decision
Unbeaten in 90 consecutive professional bouts, Chavez faced his most dangerous challenge to date against the talented Randall. Randall frequently landed counterpunches right after Chavez landed, keeping the bout close. Chavez had one point taken away for low blows and lost a split decision, which would have been a draw if not for the point which was taken away.
