Rocky Marciano Career Highlights
Rocky Marciano was born in Brockton, Massachusetts. 1st September 1923. Rocky Marciano (originally Rocco Marchegiano). Rocky Marciano was not the last white heavyweight champion of the world, but he was last to rank with the all-time greats. Rocky is the only Heavyweight champ to remain unbeaten throughout his career, winning all 49 of his contests, 43 inside the distance. And Marciano could claim to be the most indestructible fighter of all. He was limited in skill, short and light. But he had a devastating punch “The Suzy Q”, and no opponent could halt his non-stop advance. Even when battered and gushing blood, he summoned up the will and power to knock out his man before the referee could stop the fight.
